The Jasco Thermic 100 was the aspirational build for thousands of young modelers in the 1950s and early 60s. This large pod-and-boom glider will thermal with the best of them with its strong yet lightweight structure it can even be hi started if the wing joiners are properly reinforced.

The Thermic 100 is a very capable towline glider that is easy to build and fun to fly. By cutting bulkheads to match the shown fuselage pod profiles, stringers can be used to get the shape and providing space to convert two or three channel micro radio control making it a perfect and inexpensive beginner build and introduction to RC Soaring!

Jasco (Junior Aeronautical Supply Company) was founded by Frank Zaic in the 1940s in New York City and produced a long line of free flight models which are built and flown today in SAM (Society of Antique Modelers) competitions throughout the U.S. and are still popular worldwide.

SAM is a Special Interest Group of the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) which hold regular club meetings throughout the U.S., set rules for competitions, organizes meets and lists the qualifying models for inclusion in the diiferent classes flown at their meetings.
